If you walk entire Trail from south to north there is about 28,ft of accent, which is the same as the height of Everest. The closest airport to the northern end of the trail is Liverpool John Lennon. From the northern end a short drive leads to the M56 and M6 connecting to other parts of the country. If you want to leave your car in a public place whilst spending several days walking on the trail, we recommend that you inform the local police of your intentions. You may be able to leave your car with your accommodation provider.
